The NWFA Accepted Product Seal program identifies wood flooring and wood flooring products that meet established industry standards for performance.  The Seal demonstrates that the product line has complied with listed industry testing, and therefore gives you confidence when selecting wood flooring products.

Companies that manufacture wood flooring or wood flooring products can voluntarily participate in this program.  Their products undergo extensive review and testing before receiving the NWFA Accepted Product Seal.  

The NWFA Accepted Product Seal covers the manufacturer’s full product line.  The Accepted Product Seal can be applied to wood flooring abrasives, factory finished engineered wood flooring, finishes, stains, and sealers, moisture inhibitors for wood subfloors, and factory finished solid wood flooring.

The NWFA Accepted Eco Product Seal covers specific products in the manufacturer's line.  The NWFA Accepted Eco Product Seal indicates that a product has undergone testing that ensures it meets certain environmental standards.  Currently the Accepted Eco Product Seal is only available for finishes, stains, and sealers.
